The time to complete a piece is based on
experience and estimates; however, each
subject is unique and may alter the
time needed to finish a piece.

First Sitting
I prefer to hold my first sitting with a client in a comfortable and familiar environment to observe and get accustomed to mannerisms and to formulate a pose in my mind. This initial sitting usually takes about two hours, and I sketch and photograph the subject at rest (or play).

Photographs
After the first sitting, I do most of my work from photographs. I require candid shots for expression and posed shots for anatomy.

Bronze or Carved in Marble
I work in pastilene and have rubber molds made of my work. A bronze piece requires the assistance of a foundry to pour liquid bronze into my mold.

Bases for Sculpture
All finished pieces are mounted on a turnable base. A variety of finishes are included in the base price. Custom bases (for example, marble) are available for an additional charge.

Travel Expenses
Travel expenses are not included in my portrait fee. These expenses would be billed separately.
